Superintendent Update: August 2024

Welcome to the start of what I know will be another phenomenal school year! I hope that you and your family had a restful and enjoyable summer. As summer ends and school begins, I am incredibly excited about the upcoming year.

Our students and staff accomplished remarkable things in 2023-2024, and my aim is to build on that success in the coming year. Our students' incredible growth and academic success are a testament to the collective efforts of our educators, bus drivers, maintenance staff, food service workers, and, most importantly, those who support our students at home. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I firmly believe that the best days for Autauga County Schools are yet to come! Over the summer, we’ve been hard at work on several projects because our families deserve the best we can provide them! We’ve been using earmarked state and federal funding that is not guaranteed from year to year to make facility improvements at many of our campuses, including new construction & renovations, updated flooring, paint, roof repairs, and gym & restroom upgrades.

At Autauga County Schools, our primary focus will continue to be the safety and success of our students in keeping with the district's strategic plan. We are working toward the goals that were largely established through conversations with many of you in the areas of academics, safe & healthy learning environments, quality employees, and fiscal responsibility, and we continually communicate with all stakeholders so that everyone is informed about all things related to Autauga County Schools.

I was proud to be named your Superintendent last year, but because of the efforts of many in our schools and communities, I am even more proud to serve in that role today! I look forward to working with you throughout this school year to carry the enthusiasm we all feel right now, with the excitement of new beginnings and anticipated success just over the next horizon. For our new families, I hope you will experience the pride and tradition that is Autauga County Schools very soon, and like me, consider it to be a great place for students and their families to call home.

Why Not Us,
